Welcome to Sacred Heart Primary School

Mrs S Stirrup

Headteacher

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a happy, exciting and friendly place to be, there is a love of learning and of life, with pupils who are well behaved, hard-working and enthusiastic.

All that we do at Sacred Heart is underpinned by our Christian foundation. We are a Catholic Primary School and as such we believe that every child is special, unique and loved by God. Through the Christian ethos and Gospel values taught at our school, we encourage everyone to treat others with respect and to develop in their own personal journey of faith.

All aspects of our school combine to produce an engaging, enjoyable, yet demanding atmosphere in which children thrive. Our pupils respond to the challenges that are placed upon them, with high expectations of achievement in their work, behaviour and play. We are very proud of every one of our pupils and enjoy celebrating their many achievements in all areas of learning. Every effort is made by all of us to ensure that children are happy in our school and enabled to reach their full potential.

We Are Delighted to Announce… Sacred Heart has once again been awarded Platinum status in the School Games Mark Award —for the second consecutive year . This is the highest level of recognition available, and we are extremely proud of this outstanding achievement. This success reflects the hard work and commitment that have gone into developing and enhancing the sporting opportunities offered at our school. Most importantly, it is a testament to our wonderful children. Their enthusiasm, willingness to embrace new challenges, and determination to give their best at every event are truly inspiring. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our parents and carers. Your ongoing support—whether attending events, preparing kits, or ensuring children are ready to participate—plays a vital role in our achievements. We are deeply grateful for everything you do. This accomplishment belongs to our whole school community. Here’s to many more years of sporting excellence at Sacred Heart.
