Permanent Teaching Assistant Level 1
5 hours 50 mins per week, Term Time Only

The Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant Level 1 to be responsible for the general supervision of pupils over the lunchtime period.

The successful candidate will:

  • be able to develop positive relationships with children and school staff, working within and contributing to the school and Local Authority’s safeguarding provision.

  • be able to make a positive contribution to the Catholic ethos of our school.

  • be willing to play a full part in the life of the school and our community.

Temporary Teaching Assistants Level 1 & 2 (Joint Role) – 2 positions
15 hours per week (5 hours Level 1 & 10 hours Level 2), Term Time Only

The Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint two temporary Teaching Assistants into positions that will be a joint role of Level 1 and Level 2 duties.  The Level 2 responsibilities of these posts are to support the individual needs of specific pupils with SEND. The pupils will require support for their welfare and learning.  This will include working on a 1:1 with a child supporting learning in English and Maths, supporting access to the curriculum by differentiating tasks and enabling participation in group activities, under the direction of the class teacher.  Whilst the Level 1 responsibilities of these posts are for general supervision of all pupils over the lunchtime period. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to work as part of a well-established team.

  • be able to quickly provide support for the pupil to access learning.
  • be able to develop positive relationships with the child, parents, school staff and outside agencies to help overcome barriers to learning, working within and contributing to the school and Local Authority’s safeguarding provision.

  • be willing to play a full part in the life of the school and our community.
